Alex's 2nd Birthday Video -- Minnesota Trip

Thank you to everyone for all the great presents for Alex on his 2nd Birthday!

Since he got back from Minnesota yesterday, he has been playing with his new toys and catching up on his sleep. Home is not as exciting as vacation and there are not as many people to play with. Mommy and Daddy learned an important lesson over the weekend not to take a very tired 2-year-old right into the spotlight of the Happy Birthday song -- see the video below at 6 minutes and 30 seconds to see what I mean. We will try to make sure he catches a nap before the next one.

Camping in Minnesota

Alex had a great Memorial Day Weekend! He went camping in Minnesota with his Minnesota Grandparents. We celebrated his 2nd birthday with cake and some really nice presents. Alex discovered that he really likes the beach. He also got to chase a kitty around the nature center, eat grandpa's pancakes, and played lots of soccer with everyone.

Alex is Ready to Be a Big Brother!

We just found out that Alex is going to be a big brother! His little sister is due in October.

Alex is very excited. Here is a mobile-phone-shot video of Alex giving his little sister a kiss (kissing Mommy's belly).

Happy Mother's Day

Alex spent the weekend in eastern Washington for Mother's Day with Mom, Dad, and lots of extended family. He played soccer and basketball, threw lots of rocks, ate some good food, and got a neat new set of trucks from Brenda, Rob, Nicholas, and Mitchell. He also got to see cousin Emily again.

Big Talker

Alex has recently been talking a lot -- nearly non-stop at times. He likes to talk about colors, cars, airplanes, buses, trains, apples, oranges, bananas, raisins, milk, agua, juice, french fries, hot dogs, real dogs, birds, bunnies, crayons, soccer, baseball, basketball, football, tennis, games, teams, running, jumping, numbers, Elmo, Abby Cadaby, his friend Gabby at school, Curious George, go, stop, books, funny shows, scary dinos, 'don't like that', 'don't want that', Grandma, Grandpa, and Philadelphia (where Mommy was this week).
