Camping on Orcas Island

Alex has had a very exciting last 3 weeks. This weekend we went camping on Orcas Island at Moran State Park. Alex was getting over an illness but still managed to go swimming in the lake, go for a hike, play on the playground, and play baseball. He really likes the new sleeping bag he got for his birthday, even though he sometimes escapes it.

Because Alex was sick this week, he got to stay home from school and spend lots of time with Grandma and Grandpa Felton. He likes to watch Wimbledon, the Mariners, and soccer. He likes Grandma's house because she always has ice cream and blueberries.

Two weeks ago we went to Suncadia where Alex got to meet Aunt Max and Uncle Ron for the first time. He was a little shy but did enjoy making friends with Margot, a 3 year old, who had lots of cool toys.

Sometime in there Alex had his 2 year check up. He is very healthy. He is in the 25th percentile for height and 50th percentile for weight.

Seattle 2nd Birthday Celebration

Alex celebrated his second birthday a second time today, this time in Seattle. He had a really great time with Grandma and Grandpa Felton, Uncle John, Aunt Ann, and Cousin Emily. Alex really liked playing with Emily. He showed her how to use some of his old toys. Some of the great presents he got included: a piggy bank, a Seattle Sounder's jersey, a T-ball set, a tennis racket, a sleeping bag, and some athletic clothes. He was very happy.

Baseball!

Alex went to see the Mariners play the Twins. He really likes baseball! We tried to leave in the 7th inning which was 1 hour past bedtime, but Alex didn't want to miss anything so we stayed until it ended in the 10th inning. Because Alex likes both the Mariners and the Twins, he got to clap for every good play.
