Birthday Party for Mommy
Alex had another great weekend. He did errands with Daddy, went to the playground and the museum, and watched some soccer and baseball. On Sunday we celebrated Mommy's birthday (~10 days early due to scheduling conflicts). Alex got to play with cousin Emily and show her his books and soccer skills. Mommy even got off the couch for a minute so Alex could help her blow out the candles.

Mariner Moose
Alex is very ready to be a big brother. Note that a change in this blog title is coming soon when Alex's sister arrives. We will post a link when it comes, which could be very soon.
Alex was very well behaved at home and at school this week. Alex was doing his best to help out Mommy. Alex's Mommy has been working very hard for the last 5 days to keep Alex's little sister from being born for a while longer and needs to lie down all the time and take special medicine. Alex visits Mommy at the hospital every day and is always eager to see Mommy and help her out.
Daddy and Alex went to a baseball game today after going to the hospital. Alex was very excited to meet Mariner Moose up close. Alex was concerned about what the Moose might think about the band-aid on his knee. But, when he got close to the Moose, Alex was more concerned about the moose/human/monster thing he was about to meet. He wanted to go back and see the baseball game again. As always, Alex watched the full 9 innnings.

Fun with Grandma F
Dad went fishing with Grandpa, so Alex and Mom stayed with Grandma for a few days in her air conditioned apartment. Alex had a great time. He watched a tennis tournament, the Blue Angels, and a Seattle Storm basketball game. He went to the Children's Museum and the coffee shop. At the tennis tournament, he was really good about being quiet during the points. And he's decided that Doppler, the Storm's mascot, isn't so scary after all.
