Things We Like!

We did a lot of things we like this week.
-- We hiked Tiger Mountain with some friends -- Alex rode in a backpack and Julia in the Bjorn.
-- Julia now likes rice cereal. At first she ate like a kitty with her tongue, but she is getting the hang of the spoon.
-- Alex likes M&Ms and ice cream
-- Alex and Julia both seem to like The Talking Words Factory

Food!

Julia had her first solid food on Saturday! She had some rice cereal mixed with milk. Alex was a big help in feeding her. She was distracted by her bib and was trying to figure out the eating motion with the spoon. There is no sign that she likes rice cereal. But, she is clearly thinking hard about what the solid food thing is all about.





Julia has been rolling over for a while now. Below is the first video we have gotten. Unfortunately, it was on hardwood. She rolled and scooted over to the hardwood from the carpet. She is suddenly quite mobile when she wants to be. She started this clip on the blue towel.




Alex and Julia helped cheer for the Gophers in the NCAAs.

March

Some firsts/lasts this week:

-- This is Julia's last week before she starts solid food (we think)
-- Julia is getting very good at rolling and she is practicing sitting
-- Alex watched his first movie ever, Finding Nemo. He liked it except for the scary parts. We skipped Chapter 1.
-- Alex and Daddy went snow tubing for the first time on Saturday and had a great time. Alex liked both the fast downhill and the uphill on the tow rope.

Pals

Alex and Julia have become good pals. They chat in the car. Alex helps Julia with toys and books. He loves to make her smile.
