Halloween Preview?

Alex and Julia still aren't positive what they want to be for Halloween but they had fun trying on their old costumes.

Julia's 2nd Birthday

Julia had a great 2nd birthday. She becomes cuter every day and behaved perfectly. She had a couple of parties with family and got some great presents. She really likes:
-- the great hello kitty shirt
-- the pull-behind shoe
-- the dress-up Julia and dress-up bears
-- the Melissa and Doug coloring pads
-- everything else I cannot remember right now

Alex, Julia and Mommy made cupcakes with frosting from scratch. It was a lot of fun. Julia also especially liked an Elmo balloon and a Minnie Mouse balloon which she would grab and run around the house giggling with. After her party, she went to a party at a bouncy house. She then slept well clutching her Minnie Mouse balloon.

Alex in the Seattle Times

Alex is in the Seattle Times with his picture! I just showed his picture in the paper to him.

He was not very impressed and wanted to go back to playing Yahtzee on the ipad.

Another weekend flew by

Another weekend flew by:
-- Mommy climbed Mount Si outside of Seattle

-- We celebrated Mommy's birthday with some presents and some smores

-- A&J went to another Sounder's game (Alex is in the Seattle Times for this, I will post this separately)

-- A&J went hiking to Denny Creek near Snoqualmie Pass. Julia did great on the way there and slept in the pack on the way back. Alex was (mostly) a trooper.

-- A&J went to the circus with their neighbor and friend Logan and had a great time

Labor Day!

We had a great Labor Day weekend. Highlights were: -- playing with neighbor kids -- the dinosaur exhibit at the zoo -- water balloons -- the beach and the pool
