Today we had a lot of fun at Mount Rainier, or Mountain Ear as Julia calls it. The kids survived a hilly 3-mile hike without being carried. Julia was motivated to get to the snow fields to build a snowman and throw snow balls. Alex was just excited to explore nature.
Julia now talks all the time. She tells good stories and has a great memory. Here's my favorite conversation of the day.
Julia: Are we in Stehekin?
Mom: No, we're at Mount Rainier at Paradise
Julia: Is that where the cheeseburgers live?
Mom: Huh?
Julia: Like the song - Cheeseburgers in Paradise
My second favorite:
Julia: I don't have enough energy for walking
Mom: We're going downhill so you don't need much energy. Gravity helps you down.
Julia: I think I lost some of my gravity
Funny girl!

August already?
It is hard to believe that it is already August! Alex and Julia had a fun trip to Suncadia with their friends Brock, Cayden, and TJ. They swam, played Wii, and Pokemon cards. We lost another model rocket in the trees but it fun to build and launch.
