Julia's Field Trip to Pac Sci
Joanna supervised her first field trip - a kindergarten adventure to Pacific Science Center. Everyone was very energetic. Their favorite parts were singing songs in the car and stealing the camera to take selfies.
Grandparents day and Grandma's bday
Alex and Julia have had lots of fun with their Seattle grandparents lately. They went to Grandparent's Day at school. And to the Mariner's for grandma's birthday. And to the aquarium / Argosy cruise for Alex's birthday. What fun!
School Projects
Alex and Julia have been busy at school. We just went to their art fair. Julia shared a garden she designed with Zach and some other masterpieces. Alex shared his Tiny Home prototype and did some math art on the board. Julia also had her first take home project - she made up an insect called a Clicket and did a poster, 3-d model, and presentation. Finally, we participated in the family volunteer event at the Jubilee Reach Thrift Shop. Everyone worked hard and came home appreciating what we have.
Happy Birthday, John
We had a nice celebration for John's birthday with homemade cake and cards. He and Alex are sharing a new xBox for their birthday and, of course, had to try it out.
Lemonade Stand
Alex and Julia decided to earn some money by setting up a lemonade stand. They did it with zero parent participation (including creating a recipe) and actually made a few dollars on our quiet street. Nice teamwork!
Spring Sports!
Alex and Julia wrapped up their spring sports this month. Alex was on the Braves in AAA little league. His team had a rebuilding year, but they showed great progress over the season. By the end, Alex was the starting 2nd baseman and got a few hits. Julia did the EYSA spring soccer clinic and had a great time. Both kids have started swim team at the rec club.
