Basketball

Julia is really enjoying her new sport, basketball.  The Blackhawks didn't do so well in their first game but showed a lot of hustle!

Quiet Holidays

We enjoyed a really quiet holiday season.  It started with our first Thanksgiving at home in perhaps 8 years.  Julia and mom had fun cooking together and the Feltons came over for dinner.  Then we headed to Portland for a day of sightseeing.  The kids decided it was "just like Seattle".

Later in December Steve and Jane came for a visit.  We visited Pike Place Market, did cooking and crafts, played games, Garden D'Lights, Snowflake Lane, and generally hung out.  We didn't take many pictures unfortunately.

The kids had 11 school days off for holiday break.  That was more than they needed.  We did crafts, cooking, games, Bellevue Club, and way too much screen time.  We also did our annual ice skating.  Christmas itself was low key - nothing too crazy with presents, no fancy meal. Alex did play a prank he got on video.  Alex's favorite present was sticky poo and Julia liked her cake decorating kit.  The big highlight was snow!

For  New Year's we headed to Suncadia with the Feltons and the Jensens.  Julia and Alex taught their 2nd cousins how to play telestrations and they learned how to play poker.  We also had a fun time tubing.
