Fall Birthdays
Joanna, Julia, and Sofia all had birthdays in September and October. Everyone got homemade cakes, including a really cool rainbow cake for Sofia. Julia had a sleepover with friends from school with lots of giggles. We probably got some good presents but can't remember any more.
Fall 2018
Other exciting things this fall: Julia's improv show, Alex and Julia got braces, a few nice hikes, John went on a cycling trip to Napa, Alex was 3-0 in his debate tournament, we went to World Walk at school, some good Sounders matches (except the playoffs), Joanna and John went to My Favorite Murder and Come From Away, Joanna is (sort of) back playing tennis after a long injury, everyone is working hard at school and the office. Alex is even writing a novel about WWII.
Halloween 2018
This Halloween Julia was a panda and Alex was (of course) Darth Vader. Sofia got to go trick or treating for the 1st time. We got some seriously large and expensive pumpkins. The candy haul was insane and that doesn't even include the 20 lbs from Grandma Brady.
Walla Walla Family Reunion
We had another fun family reunion, this time in Walla Walla. It was a nice change of scenery and a beautiful time to be in the Walla Walla. Alex and Julia got to meet their distant cousin Hailey (Bonnie's great grand daughter) and Sofia got to hear all the great Felton stories. We went to one nice winery - Elegante - and visited the candy store twice. Of course, it wasn't the same without Jim and Marcia who moved to FL. We had so much fun we forgot to take many pictures.
Fall Soccer - Ender Dragons 2018 - League Champs!
In a complete reversal of last year, the Ender Dragons were league champs! They received an influx of talent and good coaching and only lost one game. Alex was solid in goalie, smart on D, and always keeps his head in the game. He's shown great improvement in punting and speed in particular. Way to go!
Fall Soccer - Gunners 2018
Julia played for the Issaquah Gunners FC this fall on the 2nd B team with coach Mel Thomas. She improved an enormous amount with professional coaching and is very dedicated to the game. Her team won more than they lost and Julia was probably the high scorer (and definitely the top hustler) on the team. She played every position but goalie and had a lot of fun!
