Portland and P!nk

Joanna, Julia, Sofia, and Grandma (Karen) traveled to Portland this week for the P!nk concert.  It was the best show ever, even better the 2nd time since we also saw her last year.  Our seats were already good, but then she did an aerial stunt and landed on a perch 10 feet from us and said hi to Julia. Amazing! Julia painted the ends of her hair pink which looked great.  We also visited the Japanese Garden and had a nice French bakery breakfast.

Random Winter Fun

Alex closed out his debate season on a high note. His team only lost one debate the whole year. Julia celebrated with banana Nutella crepes and cupcakes.  We also volunteered with school friends at Food Lifeline. Baseball recently started - Alex is on the Red Sox and they are good!  Julia's soccer team is doing well although she's had a nagging hamstring problem that keeps her from full speed.

Mom's Travel

Joanna had an exciting winter/spring travel schedule: Luxembourg, Beijing, Japan, Lexington, Napa/Menlo Park. While it was mostly work, it was a treat to see such cool places and work with great people. Joanna also spoke at a Women in Product seminar and participated in a really grueling leadership training called Dawson 549.

Epic Snow

The most exciting thing this winter was the epic snow. We broke 70 year old records.  The kids had something like 7 snow days.  Throw in mid-winter break and one illness each, and they probably only went to school 7 days.  Mom and Dad enjoyed working from home. After 2 weeks we were all ready to get back to our routines.
