Phoenix with the Cougars

WSU treated us to a trip to Phoenix to see the Cougar football game vs. WSU last weekend. We got to meet the AD and the president, watch the game, and enjoy the city. Highlight was climbing camelback at dawn and eating at a great Mexican place and being warm. Meanwhile, G&G got to watch kids soccer in the freezing cold.

Las Vegas!

Mom went down to Las Vegas with Kris, Allison, Susie, Katherine, Beth, and Blakely for a national team tournament (40+). The tennis was tough (I finished 2-2 and we were 0-4 as a team) with tough competition and crazy wind. But we had so much fun playing craps, walking on the strip, eating nice meals, doing a scavenger hunt downtown, and just hanging out. Great friends and great memories.

September Birthdays

We had another round of September birthdays where Julia turned 10 and Joanna turned 44. Julia had a sleepover with 11 of her soccer teammates. It was loud but it's such a neat group of girls.

4th and 7th Grade!

Julia started 4th grade with Ms. Bamer and Alex started 7th grade at Open Window School. They're both having a great year, especially Alex who has some amazing teachers (5 men!).

Labor Day with the Sekits

The last week of summer the kids went with the Sekits to the chocolate factory. We also did a 1-night backpacking trip out of Salmon le Sac (with a very long drive on a dirt road!) and spent 2 days in Suncadia with the Sekits. We sampled both pools and did some nice bike rides and hikes. Great families!
