Quarantine!

After obliviously watching the coronavirus spread in China, it hit the US sometime in February and the US was totally unprepared. Mom started work from home on March 5 and the kids last day at school was March 11. We're very lucky to have jobs and school that we can do at home, since so many people are now unemployed. We've also been doing a lot of walks around the neighborhood, pickleball, cooking, art, playing with Runner, bike rides, new tv shows (Anne with an E is our favorite so far). We even did a camp out at home. Right before the shelter in place order we got in one day of skiing at Whistler which was amazing - we'll definitely be back to take advantage of our hotel credit. While all the kids activities and travel plans have been canceled, we're thankful for the extra time together, fresh air, no traffic, and good sleep.

Gunners Trip to AZ

Julia and Mom had a much anticipated trip to Arizona for the Blackhawks soccer tournament in February. The team was focused and ready to go, but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. Everything was rained out except for one shortened game. The team made the most of it with t-shirt making, sundae bars, arcade, and the pool. Maybe next year we'll see some soccer. It's a wonderful group of girls and families.

Snow and other fun

2020 started strong. We went ice skating and did a lot of cooking. We had some snow days! Alex and Julia got off to a great start in 2nd semester, including Alex's shark tank project about a water bottle. Alex and mom had a gorgeous ski day at Snoqualmie. We went to 2 exciting (and cold) Sounders games.
