Swim Team and Tennis Team

We were lucky this summer to have 6 weeks of rec club tennis and swim training. While there were no meets or matches, Alex and Julia worked hard on their conditioning and form. Julia and mom even did lap swimming in the evening twice a week. Julia's final times were:
100m IM: 146.72
50 free: 39.34
50 back: 51.13 (beginning of season)
50 breast: 47.78 (beginning of season)
25 fly: 27.30 (beginning of season)
Since I didn't get any pictures, here are some pictures playing at Amanda's house on the lake.

Stehekin 2020!

Stehekin never disappoints! We only spent 2 nights but caught most of our favorites: horsey swing, throwing rocks in the river, horseback riding, bikes, Harlequin Bridge, rainbow falls, bakery, garden, freezing cold lake, landing, lakeshore trail. As a bonus there were baby goats and a kitten. As a double bonus we stayed in a fancy cabin, not a tent cabin, since they sold out so early. Stehekin was not taking the pandemic as serious as Seattle, so we were a bit uncomfortable in the bus and dining hall. Can't wait til next year!

Happy 75th Birthday, Dad!

My dad (Bob Felton) celebrated his big birthday with a new knee. Julia made him an incredible butterscotch / butterfinger cake and we hung out on the deck watching the lake and had a Felton family zoom call.

Ramrod 2020

John didn't let the cancelation of the official Ramrod stop him. He did his own version with personalized support crew. He had a broken clip and extreme exhaustion at the top of Cayeuse pass, so he skipped the last downhill but tackled all the hard parts. Alex, Julia, and I got a few hikes in. Beautiful scenery!

Art Show

Some of Julia's quarantine masterpieces (since I'm ready to toss them)...
