Alex raised $60 for Treehouse

Alex is studying civil rights in school.  With MLK day as a popular day of service, Alex decided to raise some money for the Treehouse charity.  He and his sister baked brownies and then he knocked on doors in the neighborhood for over an hour selling them.  He did all the talking - his name, what he was doing, how much the brownies cost ($1).  He always reminded them that extra donations were gladly accepted.  He even wore his Seahawks hat as he thought that might make people want to buy more.  At the end of the day he raised $52 from the neighbors and $8 from mom, dad, and Julia.  Way to go Alex!

Football is also a very exciting topic of conversation.  Alex's team, the Huskies, started practice.  And the Seahawks had an amazing victory last week and will play in the Superbowl.  Every day Julia comes home with a new Seahawk-themed art project.

Julia started a new soccer class, Skills Institute, that is a little more focused on real soccer skills.  She really hustles and listens to her coach.
