Joanna's Summer Tennis

It was a quiet summer for Joanna's tennis. The over-18 team got 2nd place in league (to Erica's team). At sectionals in Portland we lost to Tanya's Portland team 2-1, Erica's team 2-1, and finally got a win over Monika's team 2-1. All of our victories were super tie breaks. Joanna paired with Susie and lost in 2 close sets to Tanya and Megan. Then I paired with Lora to beat Sammie and Elysa in a super. Then I paired with Christina to beat two youngsters in a super. We had a fun time despite the 3rd place finish.

At WA State Open, I won the 45 Singles. Had a nice victory in the semis and easy time in the finals. Susie and I lost to Kari and Jodie in the semis. Grandma F lost in the 80s finals in a super but had a great match!

I also got included in a tennis weekend on Whidbey with Shelley, Ana, Eugenia, Pernilla, Terri, Christine. We swam Deer Lake, cruised around Langley, walked the beach, and played a lot of tennis and some pickleball.

Finally, the CPTC tennis gals had a brief trip to Suncadia for pickleball and hanging out. It was great to catch up.
