Early Summer Fun

Lots of little events this summer:

For Mother's Day, we hung out at a beautiful spot at Luther Burbank park facing Somerset and flew the drone and played football.

Joanna, Maeby, and Ali did a fun hike to Annette Lake. Despite it being late May, we got a little snow which Maeby loved!

Alex and his debate team went to Des Moines, Iowa for the debate nationals. They weren't as prepared as they should be and didn't make it out of pool play. But it was a fun experience. No one is looking to move to Iowa. Joanna also put up some shelves for all of Alex's debate awards.

Alex went to prom at an event space in Pioneer Square. We didn't get details but he had a good time and looked great.

Joanna and John did a triathlon for Ana's birthday.

We went to the Mariners and the Reign a few times.

Joanna had a reunion with her SunPower colleagues. SunPower has subsequently declared bankruptcy as expected. What a mess.

We went to Suncadia for a night.

Maeby had a lot of walks and little hikes. We've been avoiding big hikes because of the heat (and wear and tear on mom's body)

For work, Alex helped out at the SRC tennis for 3 weeks and expanded his hours at Pacific Regent (~24 hours per week). Julia taught swimming in the group lessons at SRC and has been learning all the lifeguard duties, so she can work there next year.
