Julia recently won an bookmark art contest put on by University Book Store. She put so much time into her submission (with no help) and was rewarded with a ceremony, goody bag of art supplies, printed copies of her bookmark, and a poster with the winning designs printed. Way to go Julia!

Spring performances and Julia's art award
Alex and Julia have been busy wrapping up the school year. Alex performed in the 4th grade play. It was a musical about heading west and he had two lines as a sodbuster. Julia performed in the 1st grade play about fractured fairy tales. These were puppet shows written, performed, and set designed by the 1st graders. Julia's fairy tale was a take on 3 Billygoats Gruff except it was about dogs and a falcon. She also participated in the year-end choir performance (she loves choir!). Both kids shared their art at the spring art night and participated in field day and Alex went to Islandwood.
