Things change everyday, but the pace of change seems to be slowing down. The big developments today:
-- Alex is now sleeping in a crib and wearing baby clothes. The doctors declared that Alex was good at regulating his own temperature and that he no longer needed the incubator (called an "isolet" in the NICU).
-- Alex slept most of the day. He was held for 3 or 4 hours by Mom and Dad while he slept.
-- Alex had a good visit with Grandma and Grandpa Felton after they were out of town a couple of days
-- There was a lot of talk about two really sucessful "BMs" that he had. This is a great sign of the health of his digestive system
-- He seems to be slightly yellow again. He has a round of blood tests tonight. Depending on the results , he may need another day under light therapy. This may be part of why Alex was so tired today. This is nothing to worry about (so they tell us)
-- He next, and probably last, major milestone before he can go home is suckling to feed. He took the pacifier a couple times, but he is not yet interested in a bottle. The nurse warned that this may take another week.

-- Another picture: Alex started squeezing fingers today. Here he is with Mom's finger.
