June 28, Better Feedings

Today's News:

-- Alex's weight stayed at 6 lbs., 10 oz. We suspect this is a timing issue.

-- He had full bottle feedings 3 times as of 9pm. One of Alex's doctors told us one of the benchmarks for his going home is 5 full bottle feedings in a day. His other feedings were from the feeding tube.

-- He seems to have suddently found a much fuller voice for crying. While Mom changed his outfit tonight, he screamed bloody murder like never before.
-- Here is a short video of Alex's typical activity today. Light is kept pretty low in the nursery so it is a little dark. This shot could have been repeated many times.

When will the feeding tube be removed?

I am not sure. It could be any day now, but I have thought that for a while. My guess would be a day after he does 5 full bottle feedings in a day. Yesterday he did 4.
